BRAIK & Benetics: How Modern Construction Site Communication Succeeds

BRAIK stands for quality in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sanitary installations. With 18 employees, the company carries out demanding construction projects every day. For several months now, the team has been using Benetics – making communication between the construction site and the office much easier.
  • Industry: HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Sanitary)
  • Employees: 18
  • Location: Hilzingen, Germany

The Challenge: When Paper and WhatsApp Are No Longer Enough

Heiko Lang, MD

Heiko Lang has been with BRAIK from the very beginning: He trained here and is now managing director alongside his colleague Florian Bruch. The daily challenges on a construction site? Paper lists get lost. WhatsApp messages disappear. And in the office, no one is quite sure which tasks are completed and which are still pending.

On top of that, project owners are changing their plans more frequently and at short notice. “Sometimes we get new versions daily,” says Heiko. “We can’t print them fast enough.”

Digital Solutions: Simplicity Is Key

The team tested various solutions. Benetics won them over immediately. Why? Because everyone can use it – from apprentices to senior site supervisors to project managers. Even Sebastian, a rather skeptical site worker, was impressed. “If he likes it, then it must be good,” says Florian. “And he did.”

The Three Key Benefits for BRAIK:

Florian Bruch, MD
  • Task Management: Every task is captured and documented immediately, ensuring nothing is lost. Everyone on the team always knows what needs to be done.
  • Always Up-to-Date Plans: The latest plan versions are instantly available and accessible on any smartphone. This prevents errors caused by outdated plans.
  • Independent Work: Open tasks are visible to everyone, allowing the team to work autonomously. This saves time and reduces unnecessary questions.

Real-Life Example: The Wobbly Towel Rack

“Here’s how it used to be,” explains Heiko. “Someone notices a wobbly towel rack. They tell someone else. And then you just hope it doesn’t get forgotten.” Today? A photo goes into the app with a short note. Done. “Everyone sees immediately what needs to be done. And later, we can check in the office that it has been completed if the project owner asks.”
