Diritherm x Benetics: Faster construction workflows with AI voice assistant and digital plans

- Industry: Building technology (heating, plumbing, ventilation, control)
 - Locations: Fischbach (LU); St. Vith (BE)
 - Employees: approx. 110

Challenge: Communication and paper chaos on site
Before introducing Benetics, Diritherm repeatedly reached its limits. “The biggest challenge was communication between the construction site and the office,” recalls Managing Director Kim Ohles. Information came via phone calls, emails or even WhatsApp – and was easily lost. The lack of project-specific documentation made matters worse.
And then there were the plans – endless plans. Every change meant: re-plot, fold, distribute. “At the start of a construction phase, we sometimes printed new plans every single week,” says Ohles. A time-consuming process that drained resources.

The linguistic diversity of the workforce added another layer. While German is spoken mainly in the office, life on the job site in Luxembourg often runs in French. “We often face situations where an architect speaks only French and the engineer only German. That quickly becomes a challenge,” explains Ohles.
Solution with Benetics: AI voice assistant and digital site management
In summer 2025, Diritherm decided to trial Benetics – directly on major projects with heavy information flow. The aim: one central system to bring everything together, simplify collaboration, and bridge the language mix of everyday site life. Particularly helpful: the AI-based voice assistant. “We wanted to bring order and structure into our site organization,” says Ohles. The start was smooth, and it quickly became clear how much of a difference digital processes combined with artificial intelligence can make – and how Benetics helps.
Everyday work on site: Digital plans, photos and tasks in one app
Today, paper plans are largely gone, replaced by digital versions on tablets and smartphones. Changes are visible instantly, and comments can be placed directly on the plan – simply by voice. “Before, we had to spend minutes on the phone explaining where the problem was. Now it’s recorded straight away, and with location markers everyone understands immediately. That saves time and nerves.”
Project managers, in particular, feel the relief: what once meant many calls and back-and-forth is now clarified instantly with just a few clicks. Workers on site photograph issues, mark them and forward them directly to colleagues or other trades. This leads to faster decisions and less downtime.
A key role is played by the AI voice assistant. It understands multiple languages and makes documentation – including automatic translation – effortless. “That’s a big step forward. Everyone speaks in their own language – and yet the information is complete and clear for everyone,” says Ohles. For multilingual environments like Luxembourg, that’s a true game changer.
Real-world example: Resolving clashes between electrical and HVAC plans
One typical scenario shows the difference: on large projects, clashes between electrical and HVAC plans are common. In the past, this meant long calls, emails and delays for everyone involved. Today, a foreman marks the clash directly on the digital plan, adds a photo and a short voice note. The project manager sees the issue immediately, with all the details, and forwards it to the electrician. “That way, the site doesn’t grind to a halt. Everyone knows what’s going on, and the decision is transparently documented,” Ohles sums up.
Three benefits at a glance
- Full overview: Tasks, plans and photos are bundled by project
 - Faster communication: AI voice assistant and digital plans speed up coordination across languages
 - Less downtime: Problems are solved quickly without lengthy explanations

Conclusion: Structure, speed and clarity for construction projects
For Kim Ohles, the conclusion is clear: “Benetics brings much more order and structure into our site organization – because it’s so simple.” Information now flows centrally, responsibilities are clear, and decisions are documented with photos and plan markers.
That Benetics means not just digitization but also artificial intelligence in skilled trades becomes especially clear in everyday work with the voice assistant. It makes communication across languages possible and reduces misunderstandings.
“As a result, the goal is simple: make life on site easier for our workers – regardless of language or background. With Benetics, we’ve found the right solution and see even more potential ahead.”
