New Microsoft Outlook AI Assistant for Skilled Trades: automated drawing updates

Benetics AI Introduces World First for Automatic Plan Updates and Fewer Construction Errors.

Zurich/Basel, January 19, 2026 – Benetics AI, creator of the first AI voice assistant for the jobsite, is unveiling a world first at Swissbau in Basel: the first automatic detection and analysis of construction plans in email. The “Benetics AI Email Assistant” scans Outlook attachments for plan updates and automatically assigns the latest plan versions to the crews working on site. In doing so, Benetics AI eliminates one of the most costly sources of mistakes in everyday construction: incorrect execution due to outdated plans.

Error‑Free Building with Always Up‑to‑Date Plans

In real‑world construction workflows, new plan versions are routinely sent by email. Replacing outdated plans is a time‑consuming and repetitive task for project leaders, often leading to delays and process risks. The “Benetics AI Email Assistant” automates this workflow with the following core steps:

  • The AI assistant detects construction plan PDFs in incoming email attachments
  • It compares them with existing plans across all active projects
  • It automatically notifies users whenever a new plan version is found
  • And with a single click, it ensures that no one is working from outdated plans

Seamless Integration with Existing Systems

The AI assistant is embedded directly in Microsoft Outlook and automatically passes plans into Benetics AI. From there, integration with other systems such as SharePoint and other DMS and CDE solutions is possible. Benetics AI’s fully open API, along with new connectors for Make.com and Zapier, enables flexible integrations. This creates, for the first time, a continuous digital plan flow all the way to the field technician on the jobsite.

Bledar Beqiri, Head of Installation & Plant Construction at Rosenmund Haustechnik AG (Basel, Switzerland) and user of Benetics AI:

“The Outlook integration brings even more structure to our construction workflows. New plan versions reach our teams faster and without detours. That reduces sources of errors and gives our project leaders greater confidence during execution.”

Ferdinand Metzler, CEO of Benetics AI:

“Following our AI voice assistant, the AI Email Assistant is Benetics AI’s second world first. With this step, we’re advancing our vision: less time spent on administrative work, and more focus on what makes skilled trades strong — productive work.”
