From Motor City to Voice-First Construction: Benetics is now live in the U.S.

Starting from Detroit, Benetics kicks off U.S. expansion in Michigan, bringing hands-free jobsite reporting to America’s skilled trades.

Detroit Launches First Voice AI App for Construction Crews - No Typing, Just Talking

Detroit, MI – June 16, 2025 – The next big leap in construction technology has officially begun in Michigan. Swiss tech startup Benetics has officially launched its U.S. operations, introducing the first AI voice assistant built specifically for construction site crews.

With its U.S. rollout anchored in Detroit and Ann Arbor, Benetics is bringing voice-driven jobsite reporting directly to the skilled trades - offering a hands-free way to capture tasks, materials, safety issues and documentation using only natural speech.

The launch took place over two days and reached more than 300 professionals: through a preview at the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) and Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan (HBA) event on June 11, followed by a dedicated customer lunch in Detroit’s Corktown district on June 12.

From Motor City to Voice-First Construction

“We believe Michigan is the perfect place to start something big,” said Jason Tooker, VP Business Development North America, based in Ann Arbor. “This state has always stood for real work and real people. Benetics was built for them.”

While most digital tools focus on project managers and office workflows, Benetics was designed for those doing the work in the field: electricians, HVAC technicians, drywallers, plumbers - all tradespeople on site. Workers can use natural speech to log tasks, capture photos, report completed work, flag issues, track materials or assign follow-ups – all by voice. The AI assistant understands trade-specific terminology, dialects and works reliably even in noisy environments. Tasks and reports are generated automatically and shared with the office in real time – reducing delays, miscommunication and paperwork.

Michigan trades professionals were among the first to test the tool - and their feedback signals something promising:

“Benetics keeps our technicians efficient in the field while creating visibility for our management and engineering teams,” said Joe Chambers, Operations Manager at Elite Fire Safety, Novi.

“It’s a great way to manage projects, keep the team aligned and document work with pictures, to-do lists and checklists,” said Ken Kish, Owner of Floor Coverings International, East Metro Detroit.

Now, with over 150 companies already using Benetics across Europe, the company is excited about Michigan as the launchpad for its national U.S. expansion.

Michigan isn’t just the first stop.” said Tobias Haendler, CMO at Benetics. “It’s the foundation of Benetics’ U.S. story. We’re excited to build that future from here.”
